Background of Upazila Administration

Analyzing the information booklet, it is known that Daganbhuiyan under Feni subdivision was transformed into Daganbhuiyan thana in 1979 as part of the greater Noakhali formed for the administrative needs of the British government. In the meantime, Feni subdivision was abolished and in March 1984, Feni was transformed into a district. Daganbhuiyan upazila is a well-known name. Later, in 1983, the government further upgraded Daganbhuiyan Thana to Daganbhuiyan Upazila. From then till today Daganbhuiyan upazila is known with 01 municipality, 08 unions, 100 mouzas and 152 villages.
